Futurium, Berlin

Designed as a low-energy building, the Futurium with its multi-faceted shell of cast glass provides a variety of glimpses into the future. A high-quality fire and corrosion coating was required for the steel construction, which combines the following essential criteria:

high fire resistance duration of 90 minutes
fulfilment of the requirements for corrosivity category C3 with a long protection period (DIN EN ISO 12944)
high chemical and mechanical resistance as well as a long service life
Fulfilment of the strict BNB criteria on the proportion of volatile organic compounds (VOC)

Economical processing in just a few steps: The solvent-free intumescent was applied in the factory on almost all building components in just one work step. After installation, the connection areas could be completed on site with the same system.
