BYK stands for the globally successful Additives & Instruments division of the ALTANA Group. It comprises the additives of the BYK Group and the instrument business of BYK-Gardner.<\/p>\n

All over the world, additives from BYK ensure that coatings and plastics have the optimum properties and the right quality. In addition, numerous other industrial applications benefit from the outstanding performance of BYK additives. The coatings, printing ink and plastics industries are among the main areas of application for BYK additives. But BYK additives also improve product properties and manufacturing processes in oil and gas conveyance, the production of care products, the manufacture of adhesives and sealants, and in construction chemistry.<\/p>\n

In steel fire protection coatings, too, BYK additives help to increase the storage life of the coating, improve application properties, positively influence the optical appearance, and ensure sufficient layer thickness and run-off resistance during application.
