Whether you are reading a book, opening a box of breakfast cereals, painting your kitchen, writing on an envelope, laying a carpet, cleaning a bathroom or simply driving a car, you could use a product that has been improved by the scientists at Synthomer.<\/p>\n

In the Coatings division, Synthomer’s products include aqueous binder dispersions for intumescent coatings that help to rapidly build a voluminous foam for insulating steel components. In the research and development laboratories and application technology facilities in Marl, Synthomer works on further optimization of binders and tests their effectiveness in standard formulations. These tests are carried out in close cooperation with customers and allow for a targeted further development of the products.<\/p>\n

Synthomer is the leading manufacturer of vinyl acetate copolymer dispersions for aqueous intumescent coatings. Emultex 728 is an APEO-free new development, which can be used for protection for 30 to 60 minutes. If higher demands are placed on the coating, Emultex 797 is suitable.
