The IGSB was founded in 2012 by leading manufacturers of fire protection coatings and raw materials. The aim of the community is to provide information about modern intumescent fire protection coating systems and to promote their use.
The new chairman, Sebastian Moschel, emphasizes the importance of the IGSB as a competence center for passive fire protection: “The IGSB brings together industry experts under one roof and offers bundled expertise in passive fire protection – for steel but also other construction materials. Our common goal: to ensure the safety of people in buildings through effective fire protection.”
Friederike Roth adds: “Our goal is to promote the use of modern fire protection coatings and to build an extensive network in the industry. All members benefit from the constructive cooperation and we are always happy to welcome new interested parties!”

The election of the new board also marks the end of an era in which the IGSB has grown continuously over many years and established itself as a reliable partner within the industry. “We would like to thank the previous board for their work, commitment and the successful development of the association since its founding in 2012,” says Friederike Roth and Sebastian Moschel adds: “The outgoing board pushed forward the development and positioning of the association with great commitment and contributed significantly to the visibility of the field.
