Founded in 1922 as a paint and varnish factory, the company recognized the increasing importance of preventive structural fire protection in the early 1950s and devoted itself intensively to the development of fire protection coatings. Already in 1953 this commitment was honoured with the first patents.
The insulation-forming HENSOTHERM® steel fire protection coating systems are approved in accordance with DIN EN 13501-2 and have other international certificates, such as BS 476, VKF, UL 263 and GOST. They offer almost unlimited possibilities for leaving filigree and diverse steel components, including steel tension members, approved in accordance with the world’s first available abZ Z-19.11-2194 for this application, visible as an architectural element and simultaneously meeting the requirements of passive structural fire protection.
HENSOTHERM® steel fire protection coatings from the Green Product Line already have an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) Type III, are AgBB tested and registered in the DGNB Navigator. They meet the requirements of LEED v4, are free of VOC and classified in emission class A+.
